Prepare a list of qualified coaches for review by the Coaching Selection Committee. (Risk, President and VP Operations are also on this committee, but the coaching coordinator has the final say)
Work with the approved coaches and appropriate support personnel. Ie: Assistant coaches, trainers, and managers.
Work closely with the Risk Management Coordinator to ensure appropriate coaches and bench personnel have the necessary qualification for the year.
As member of the Disciplinary committee, the coach coordinator will take part in disciplinary action involving AMHA members (Risk and VP of Operations are also on this committee unless determined to be in conflict of interest. If this happens another Board Member is chosen)
Seasonal Planning Activities
Work with coaches to determine any training equipment that should be purchased for the association
Submit the End of Season report for the AGM
Specific Time of Year Activities
August - Attend registation sessions to answer questions from parents and perspective coaches
August and September - Final selections for coaches are made
February and March - Start identifying coaches for the upcoming season
June - AGM
Monthly AMHA Board Meetings
Random Time Of Year Activities
Work with coaches and advise them on such things as team discipline and act as a liaison between the coaches and AMHA board
Attend as many games as possible to evaluate coaches and provide feedback where necessary.
